Procon provided Commissioning and BAS design services for numerous projects at the Janelia Research Campus including Commissioning of numerous chemical, imaging, and vivarium laboratory suites.

Procon has provided various Commissioning and/or BAS design services for over 25 separate projects on the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) campus totaling $32M. Space types and scope included chemical, imaging and vivarium laboratory suites, multiple HVAC and central plant projects, fuel transfer systems, gymnasium, and historical renovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development/execution of commissioning plan, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests.
  • Specific testing included temperature and airflow control verification, room pressurization control, sound level testing, fume hood capture verification, and heat load testing.
  • Provided design reviews and existing equipment assessments in support of operational activities and renovations.
  • Provided BAS design for the primary boiler plant operation and facility pressurization control.
  • Responsibilities included mechanical systems and BAS design reviews, and development/execution of commissioning plan, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests.
  • Deliverables included exception record reports, daily reports, commissioning meeting minutes, and Final Commissioning Report.
