DETAILS

Establishing digital standards that connect capital delivery to operations

UC San Diego engaged Procon to provide centralized BIM oversight across multiple large-scale campus developments, including the Ridge Walk North Living and Learning Neighborhood, Pepper Canyon West Living and Learning Neighborhood, and the Triton Center.

Rather than focusing solely on model production, Procon established structured governance over BIM deliverables—reviewing execution plans, enforcing data standards, and aligning design and construction teams with the university’s Transition to Operations (T2O) program.

By ensuring that digital models are accurate, complete, and formatted to university standards, Procon helps bridge the gap between construction and long-term facility operations.

OUR ROLE

BIM Governance & Standards Enforcement

Procon reviewed and enforced BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), working directly with architects, engineers, and design-build teams to ensure alignment with UCSD’s BIM and T2O requirements across multiple projects.

Structured Data Oversight & Turnover Readiness

Our team oversaw model labeling, formatting, and asset data collection to ensure all design, trade, and as-built models were delivered accurately and in Autodesk Revit format—ready for operational use at turnover.

CMMS Integration & Lifecycle Enablement

Procon enabled successful integration of BIM and asset data into UCSD’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), supporting maintenance planning, asset tracking, and long-term facility performance.
