In response to strategic guidance from Procon’s Regional Manager Vinny Testa, PE, CCM and myself, CMAA launched its first-ever dedicated technology conference, Future Focus: Technology, running alongside Focus26. The industry has officially recognized that tech is no longer a side conversation. It’s the main event.

Here are some key takeaways from the conference:

  1. AI is already on the job site. From Microsoft Copilot to generative AI, the sessions made clear: AI tools aren’t coming, they’re here. Leaders are using them right now to sharpen bids, improve QA/QC, and streamline workflows.

  2. Data-driven decisions are the new standard. Every session pointed back to one truth: better data equals better outcomes. Digital transformation and real-time data across the project lifecycle are now table stakes for competitive CM/PM firms.
